What if your boy friend is messy like mine?

I have been dating this guy for 2 months now. Last week he invited me to his home, last minute thing as he needs to change before we go for a movie. Truth is I'm not a particularly 'orderly' person, but my helper quickly puts everything in order the minute I misplace something. I believe she has some kind of disorder- which all of us LOVE & certainly appreciate !!!!!

Anyway back to my current boy friend. His home is a rented bachelor pad in a fancy condo in town. I've never seen a bachelor pad before so didn't know what to expect. Most of my other boy friends were from school so had lived with their parents.

Anyway the moment I entered I realised our preference for order is like north pole vs south pole. There's like a chaotic condition going on .... there were magazines on the floor, on the couch on the TV console in the toilet & even one on the kitchen top! I mean, who does that???? There's also an impractical wine chiller (size of a small fridge) with only a bottle of wine inside!


Yes I opened the fridge to peered inside, I cant resist ...lol... It's full of half-empty dips, over due dairy products, an half eaten apple! Who puts that in a fridge ??? He caught me staring at the contents & reassure me, if I intent to move in, he will get me a separate fridge for my fresh salads & stuff !

Social drinking & your weight loss

When you go to a club or a pub or simply have a drink during a party, do you think of how many calories you are taking in? In a way it takes the fun out of "drinking" if you are forever tracking calories right? My friend after seeing some of our weight loss success, has gone over board - he's tracking all the drinks he's "drowning" as of yesterday ....lol....

We went down to one of the our usual haunts to chill. Guess what, he usually order beer (245 calories)  but yesterday he went with white wine ( 84 calories ) . I wanted a bloody Mary (140 calories)  ,I always drink that but he said no , & get a wine for me. Someone wanted a Jack Daniels & coke (199 calories) & that got him really mad. In the end we were all  'forced' to drink the white wine! Hmmm.... are we going to look even better from now on with all this wine drinking? Sure hope so !

My 2016 weight loss update !!! I'm a Food Snob now!

This blog is suppose to be my testimonial to weight loss. My update for 2016? Well I've successfully kept my weight down. It has not been as easy as I thought. There's some ups and downs as you could have imagine. I love traveling & that's the one that sabotage any weight loss program.

But I've learn not to "overeat" anything  unless it's super EXPENSIVE or super DELICIOUS. See... if it's too expensive, I probably cant afford it anyway ....lol... so I'm pretty safe there. As for delicious food, I've developed into a "bloody food snob" (as my friends call me) .... thus very difficult to please, ..... that way, I rarely will over eat. Brilliant isn't it?

Jinny & the girls might scream if Louis Vuitton closes it's door ....lol...

Oh... I'm still doing partime in my dad's company for pocket money. Today Roy ran into the office looking really worried & concern, & got all of us worried for a minute. Then he started blabbering about how Funan Mall or Funan Centre (as we all know it) is closing for redevelopment. We all stared at him & I almost threw a stapler at him! What a nerd !

Roy is probably the only one I know who frequent Funan for all our computers upgrading in the office. So that's probably why he reacted as if the  world is ending. For the rest of us, who cares !!! On hindsight, Jinny & the rest of the girls might scream if  Louis Vuitton closes it's door ....lol...

Regarding Funan ,it's about time they do some upgrading & redevelopment right? The govt is redeveloping the whole zone. It's going to be a very happening place very soon. As of now, there's the National Art Gallery ( a place we all wanted to but have not visited)  & the beautiful Capitol Piazza near-by (went there for lunch once so far), the whole place is looking Good...

Ae you Going Organic ??

One of my friends has recently gone total “organic”! It’s ok until she started breathing down our necks & started criticizing everything we were eating! Very annoying! She seems almost more superior. Oh.. did I say mention “seems” …lol…. 

Didn’t she know, processed organic food is another example of brands using the word “organic” just to make the buyers believe they are actually buying something healthy. Here’s one example: they use ingredients like organic raw cane sugar, which is basically the same as the regular sugar. It still contains the same amounts of glucose and fructose and it contains nothing nutritious whatsoever. So the real difference between processed organic and processed regular food does not exist. Processed food means a lot of additives in both cases. Anyway if you are not sure, just check the ingredients and if all you can see are chemicals, put down the bar and get away from the store.

 And don’t expect everyone else to go the organic route, it hurts the pocket. Plus, like someone else caution, we don’t even know if it’s really organic. There’s no way we can check right? Can we seriously trust what’s being printed these days?

What's interesting to me is that he has on a fishing vest, which contained his passport, money, glasses, tissue, candy. The genius part : everything is in one place, its handy,it's zipped in, pus you can whip it off and plop it down on the X-ray belt. I said to myself, next time I travel, I'm going to get me one of those! No more cumbersome backpack or a handbag which I'm always misplacing.

Will go look for it in the night markets later :)
