Social drinking & your weight loss

When you go to a club or a pub or simply have a drink during a party, do you think of how many calories you are taking in? In a way it takes the fun out of "drinking" if you are forever tracking calories right? My friend after seeing some of our weight loss success, has gone over board - he's tracking all the drinks he's "drowning" as of yesterday ....lol....


We went down to one of the our usual haunts to chill. Guess what, he usually order beer (245 calories)  but yesterday he went with white wine ( 84 calories ) . I wanted a bloody Mary (140 calories)  ,I always drink that but he said no , & get a wine for me. Someone wanted a Jack Daniels & coke (199 calories) & that got him really mad. In the end we were all  'forced' to drink the white wine! Hmmm.... are we going to look even better from now on with all this wine drinking? Sure hope so !

  3. While on duromine and losing weight, can we still drink moderately even tho it's liquor mix coke etc? Lets say just once a month?

    Will it affect heavily on my weight loss journey?

    1. Once a month wont make much of a difference.
      We still need to chill, right?
      Go ahead, just don't do it all the time.
      One of my friends go for drinks almost every night during the week, & she wonder why she cant lose weight ...lol...

    1. No, but compared to other cocktails ( usually mix with soft drinks or juice, which is sweet), it's not so damaging to the weight.

      Anything without any exercise gives you that tummy.
      So it's not the beer's fault ...lol...

  6. Don't drink, it spoils your liver. If your liver don't work well, you get fat!

  7. I went on a group tour to china. They provide 2 bottles of beer for each meal. Very few people at our table take alcoholic drinks. So I end up drinking beer with just 3 more people for every meal.

    When I came back from the trip I have put on 2 kg! Never again !!!!
